Are You Ready to Be Home with Your Kids for Two Weeks or More Due to COVID-19?

Geek Travel Guide Self-Isolation Survival Guide

With schools across my region closed because of the coronavirus pandemic, many parents are facing two weeks or more home with their kids. And parents everywhere are sharing ideas of how to survive – not the virus, itself, but homeschooling their children while potentially also working from home.

I came across a homeschooling schedule written by a well-meaning parent online. I’d like to credit them, but I don’t know who created it. I think it’s a great idea for kids who work well with structure and predictability.

When I finished laughing at how quickly this schedule would fall apart in my household, I created a more realistic COVID-19 schedule for my family. I was thrilled that several fellow writers asked for permission to share it on Facebook and the folks at Filter Free Parents even shared it in this blog post. (Which also has several other funny schedules and some useful tips, too.)

So here it is. I’ll let you know next week how well we even stick to THIS schedule or if the kids find new and unusual ways to drive me crazy.
